Q&A with Pamela
Q: What is PDUBXO?
Pdub XO is my space to share my stories, actions and style with you, with my hope to inspire, motivate and empower. Pdub is my nickname, all of my friends call me that. I seal my writing with a hug and a kiss to you.
Q: Favorite Celebrities?
Mark Ruffalo, Olivia Wilde, Patti Smith, Alicia Keys, Keanu Reeves, Gloria Steinem, Nas, Andy Cohen, Sia, Lady Gaga. You can probably see a common thread between them all, which I find admirable.
Q: What are you reading?
‘The Happy Vegan’ by Russell Simmons, ‘When Breath Becomes Air’ by Paul Kalanithi and ‘Between the World & Me’ by Ta-Nehishi Coates. I never read one book at a time. On deck: ‘Inside Hollywood’, ‘Truly, Madly, Guilty’, and ‘Dragonmark’
Q: Last movie you watched?
‘Ceremony’ – a quirky, indie flick with Uma Thurman. It was definitely quirky.
Q: Do you have a favorite quote?
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional – Anonymous I know, I know it’s so cliche but so fitting.
Q: Any pet peeves?
Playing the ‘call the insurance company, call the doctor’, never-ending loop of a game. Drives me nuts.
Q: Well tell me some of your favorite things then?
Listening to my cat breathing in my ear as she is sleeping on my chest. My first cup of tea in the morning. Making final tables of poker tournaments. Seeing other people happy. Organizing my closets. Wearing comfortable and cool looking shoes. Catching up with girlfriends. Not feeling sick. Getting lost in a good book. Getting a massage. Drinking champagne on flights. A necklace and note my Dad gave me. Walking down the street with my husband while holding his hand.
Q: What are some fun facts about yourself?
I play tournament poker. I adore my husband & cats. If something is wrong, I speak up. I use the wrong word a lot. I think I’m funny, but my husband thinks I’m hilarious. I’m very tall, but I’m not a model or basketball player. I’m 47 going on 26.
